How It’s Made: Candy Canes
I’m not sure what it says about me, but the first thing I think of when I see a candy cane is that time in second grade when my bully punctured my hand with a shiv he made from a candy cane.
Still, few things say “Christmas” quite like a cellophane-wrapped candy cane. And speaking of cellophane, I don’t know why it took until this video for me to realize that the candy is wrapped before it’s crooked.
I also love this video Joe Avella made for Business Insider inside Denver, Colorado’s Hammond Candy Factory.
The next time you’re in Denver, be sure to stop by Hammond’s and make a candy cane. I plan to do so, if for no other reason than to replace the scars left by childhood bullies.
