Paul Newman, race car driver, philanthropist and actor was a man who had, and frankly continues to have, an incomparable impact on the world. IMDB credits him with 84 acting credits, he raced cars into his 80s and his philanthropic effort, Newman’s Own has generated more than $550 million for charity. As he said in his speech at the Academy Awards in 1994 when accepting the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award “In my estimation, the United States is the most generous country on the face of the planet.” By that measure, Newman is one of the most generous beings in the universe.
