Picture it:
The late 1960s, a ragtag group of ne'er-do-well poets, writers and musicians set up camp at the southernmost point of the U.S.Tom McGuane, Jim Harrison, Richard Brautigan and crew, in search of literature and a good fish story, were captured in a gem of a documentary called Tarpon (1973), directed by Guy De La Valdene and Christian Odasso.

I tip my hat to the wild, creativity alive in that time and space and especially to the legends we lost—Jimmy Buffett, Guy De La Valdene, and all those who made Key West a haven for brilliance.
As a nod to the past, and a shout-out to those who still live in our memories, here’s to the magic of Key West and the artists who made it unforgettable.
Tarpon will be available to stream in March of 2025 and via DVD and Blu-ray in April of 2025.
Special thanks to Erin Farrell at Film Movement and Diana Odasso.
