Steve Martin loomed so largely over my college experience. He influenced my perspective, the development of my sense of humor and the leveling up of my taste in art, comedy as well as my love of quality. Years later, while traveling the country, making shirts and ties for men's boutiques, he and I had an deep conversation about a vegetable-tanned leather belt. It was enthralling to meet one of my heroes, doubly so to learn how seriously he takes getting dressed.
